Hi Nathalie
I'm sorry I didn't see your comment before your trip.
I expected to find factory tours more readily. The only factory I have found so far was in Gruyere, Switzerland.
Although I must admit I haven't tried as hard as I could.
I think you'll have more luck when you visit a region known for its cheese, such as Gruyere.

Hi Ted, I came across your blog while desperately searching for a tour or way to visit fromage factory in France. Good links and guidance you have here. Sorry haven't got around the blog much, wonder if you are based Paris ?

I am in Paris for this week and next, so anywhere near Paris would be best - for time and ticket money. Many years ago I watched on TV a cycling tour around cheese factories (in English). Yet none of the guide books seem to pay much attention to people who want to go see how cheese is made and taste. If you have any advice could you please send to my email ?

Cheers

Good afternoon. This is a nicely laid out blog. I am Charlie Cheshire, a Cheese person and I love anything to do with cheese.

The Cheese people have a number of characters with French roots. Cheese people such as The Duke of Roquefort and The Count of Boursin. You can see them all at www.cheesepeople.co.uk

All the best
